Pandita Taqueria

In the heart of Eugene Oregon is a place named Pandita Taqueria. The moment I walked into the family owned restaurant, I felt welcomed. The intricate aromas and the flavors of the cuisine gave my tastebuds a thrill. I was so excited when they asked me to help design their logo, menus, mural, signs and other branded merch.

I painted the signs and mural by hand with my wife and painting partner Vera. After I designed the logo it was easy to turn it into mural art by enlarging the flowers and adding flowing lines to create a retro style. We hand painting the signs on wood panels with multiple coats of exterior paint so that it would be durable.

The next set of images are of designs that had been adapted for t-shirt and hoodies. The concepts are all inspired by vintage rock concert posters and jam bands like the Grateful Dead.

There were a few different menus that needed to be designed to fit all of the deliciousness that they have to offer. Each one was designed to compliment the others. Their brands culture is authentic, exciting and fresh so I wanted to convey this with the bold yet methodically organized menu list. There have been multiple forms of the menu adapted for specific purposes like to-go menu, happy hour, drink specials and both single and double sided full menus on 8.5x11 and 11x17.

Here are a few of the logo concepts I designed that where considered in the process.
